Delfien received a research grant for young researchers from Queen Elisabeth Medical Foundation for Neurosciences for her project "Zebrafish as a model to study pain in Ehlers-Danlos syndromes". She received it out of the hands of Her Royal Highness Princes Astrid during the academic session in the Royal Palace in Brussels.

Thanks to the ERN exchange program, Karelle Bénistan and Caroline Michot from APHP (Paris) could spend a week in Ghent and visit our clinic and lab at the CMGG. We had very interesting and fruitful discussions on ongoing research projects and clinical challenges regarding the Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes.

ACRehab, the postgraduate academy for physiotherapy at Ghent University, organised an accredited course. This course took place on the 13th of December and was titled: Hypermobility, how do you handel this? The lecturers were Inge De Wandele, Lies Rombaut, Hanne De Schacht and Nathalie Schelpe.

On the 8th of December our lab attended the RARE-MED symposium. Robin presented his transcriptomal work on the matrisome of the murine and human dorsal root ganglion. Marlies had a poster and poster pitch on defective collagen biosynthesis in kyphoscoliotic Ehlers-Danlos syndrome due to pathogenic variants in PLOD1 and FKBP14.
