Congratulations Dr. Robin Vroman!

Robin successfully defended his PhD entitled ‘Exploring the role of the extracellular matrix in pain using Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes as a model’ on June 27th, supervised by Prof. dr. Fransiska Malfait, dr. ing. Delfien Syx and Prof. dr. Anne-Marie Malfait.

In the afternoon, before the defence, talks were given by some of the jury members. Prof. dr. Alexandra Naba talked about "The extracellular matrix: from proteomic exploration to translational applications". Prof. dr. Anne-Marie Malfait and Prof. dr. Rachel E. Miller presented "Mechanisms of joint pain in osteoarthritis: A tale of plasticity".
